Karate hates straight bones

As most of you know a bunch of us are really into the martial arts. Adam, Chris, Jenny, and I all take classes from Sensei Matt Connors. I've been friends with Matt since 4 years old and in third grade he punched me in the face and dropped me. Big jerk! hehe.

So since Chris (that big wuss!) didn't show up last night I got the distinct pleasure of working with Mr. 4th degree-15 years experience - good friend of mine - Mr Sensei Matt. We were doing a blocking and striking drill. At one point I actually stopped the action and screamed like a little girl. I thought Matt had kicked through my forearm. Well forearms are stronger than we think and it's not broken. Yay!

On a funny side note: Matt loves to play along with all the drills we do so last night he was holding a bag and letting us do Cross behind side-heel kicks. These kicks are probably the most powerful kicks we know right now and a ton of fun to do. Our goal was to see how many kicks it took to knock him back past an arbitrary line in the dojo. Adam and I both did 5 and Jenny did it in 8. Fun times. Well... like an ass.. I volunteered to hold the bag so Matt could play along as well.

So I set up all crouched over like with my legs in the proper position and Matt lined up a good 6 feet away and let loose. Ladies and gents.. my feet never hit the ground. I went sailing and landed on my side. It was effin hilarious! I got up and we did it again. Apparently Matt can get me across the line in 2 kicks :) Fun times!! I love the martial arts. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fun that also keeps you fit! http://www.millburywhitetigers.com
